Pictured above is the current memorial for 9-11 created by Richard J. Quintal, Jr (located at his produce store on 1 South Spooner St in Plymouth, MA). There is now an official memorial fund in order to help raise money to erect twin replicas of the World Trade Center towers. The granite memorial will be 18 feet long and will stand 6 feet high. It will be engraved with the names of the people who lost their lives in New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington. The estimated cost of the project will be between $40,000 and $60,000. Once the memorial is completed, the land will be deeded back to the Town Of Plymouth. The new memorial will be completed by September, and a dedication ceremony will take place on location on September 11, 2004. All are welcome to attend. Time TBA, check back for updates. |
